Really impressive effect. I'm not sure if it is due to the lens or photoshopped but either way it looks great. The shallow depth of field is flawless of course. I think the rule of thirds works good here. Only recommendation is to get rid of the blurry dot on the top.
ReplyDeleteThe selective/differential focus in this photograph and the desolate environment captures the solitary figure in a compelling way. The “miniaturization” effect, blurred foreground and background, high contrast and high camera angle combine to produce a surreal feeling. These elements contribute to a narrative quality in the image. The “diminished” and isolated state of the model could be a metaphor implying that the person is viewed as merely a specimen trapped in a hostile environment. It could also imply that as society observes this person he or she is viewed to be of minimal importance.
ReplyDeleteNote: Great job building your tilt-shift lens!
thanks peoples! ulises: i have a tilt shift lens, hard to explain, but it lets you get this type of effect, and i have no clue what that dot is :)
